Once there was a father and a young boy.
The young boy asked his father what he had to do all day to earn money, and his father told him how hard and long he had to work.
"I go into the shop every day, and I clean and serve customers for hours."
The boy thought about that for awhile, and then he asked, "Well, how much do you earn an hour?"
And the father told him, "I earn 6 silver pieces an hour."
After thinking a little longer, the boy asked him, "May I have 3 silver pieces?"
This upset the father very much.
"I just told you how very hard I have to work every day to earn money! What could you need that's so important?"
And the son looked at him meekly and answered, "I've only saved up 3 silver pieces, so I need 3 more to buy an hour of your time."
